It’s not too late to make a shirt to celebrate the Solar Eclipse on Monday. Just use a plain shirt you already own. I happened to have a collection of fabric paints, so I went to my local craft store and bought some shirts. We sketched some designs, I traced them onto large pieces of paper that I then put under the shirt, and then we traced that with paint. My 13-year-old free-handed his own shirt, but I traced my 11-year-old’s sketch so that the final product matched his design. Here’s what we came up with.
It’s a great time to get punny. Some suggestions from random fandoms and beyond:
- That’s No Moon
- Cosmic Showdown 2017
- Come to the Dark Side
- Not Today, Sunny
- Here Comes the Sun
- Wait For It
- You’ll Be Back
Don’t forget to stock up on Sun Chips, Mooncakes, and Oreos. And your safety glasses.
