Hyper X Reveals Its New Keyboard for Gamers and Enthusiasts–The Alloy Elite Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Immediately upon opening the box of the HyperX Alloy Elite Keyboard, I can just sense the quality of the product. The beautiful basic black color and the weighty feel of the solid steel frame keyboard gives me an instant sense of its durability and style.

Once plugged in and powered up, the bright red LEDs ignite against the black in beautiful contrast. Once the drivers kick in and I plug my mouse into the USB 2.0 port on the keyboard and I am ready to go.

The first thing I notice upon typing with the Alloy Elite is the satisfying clicks of the Cherry MX mechanical switches. The mechanical feel gives you a strong sense of command over your words, forces, or warrior. Whatever you throw at the Alloy Elite, it handles it with power and grace.

If you are a hardcore gamer, you can replace the WSAD keys as well as the 1-4 buttons with textured titanium colored buttons provided with a key removal tool. This is a nice feature to further customize the board. The Alloy Elite also packs an 18-LED light bar with luminous lighting, custom light modes, and six preset effects. These effects can all be customized from the keyboard without the assistance of a separate app on your computer, which makes modification quick and easy.

I decided to try it with DOOM, and I was thrilled at the responsiveness and quickness with which I was able to hunt down my enemies. The Elite was definitely made with hardcore gamers in mind.
