What’s Better Than Coffee and Chocolate – Delivered to Your Door?

Products

I know that subscription boxes are all the rage right now, and odds are more than a few of you get at least one or two delivered to your door each month. But let’s face it, after a while, all of those plastic trinkets and cute t-shirts just begin to pile up. The novelty begins to wear off. Am I right?

You know what doesn’t wear off? Caffeine.

Well, I mean, technically, it does, but that’s not the point. Caffeine, especially when it comes in the form of coffee and chocolate, is always welcome. Its novelty never grows old, especially if you’re an addict like me.

With that in mind, allow me to introduce you to two subscription boxes that might just make your trip to the mailbox that much more exciting: Atlas Coffee Club and Cocoa Runners.

Atlas Coffee Club curates some of the best coffee from around the world and delivers it right to your door (whole bean or ground). Each shipment includes a bag of single-origin coffee, a tasting profile, brewing recommendations, and a postcard representing the country from which the coffee came. If you’re looking to expand your coffee palate but either can’t find what you want in your local supermarket or get a little paralyzed with the options at the specialty stores, subscribing to Atlas for a few months is a great way to travel the world every morning.

Subscriptions are reasonably priced, with each 12oz bag of coffee averaging about $14. You can also choose to receive new shipments every 2 or 4 weeks. And you can specify your roast preference (light, medium, or dark).

Cocoa Runners, on the other hand, is for die-hard chocaholics who similarly want to travel the world through their taste buds. Each package comes with four bars of small-batch, single-estate craft chocolate from around the world. The four bars in each shipment usually represent four different countries from two or three continents.

When you subscribe, you can select to receive milk and dark chocolate or dark chocolate only. They also promise that they will never repeat a bar, so you will never taste the same bar twice. Subscriptions are currently about $20/month. However, the company is located in the UK, so if you’re in North America, the shipping really adds to the total.

Still, I bought a six-month subscription (all dark chocolate) for my wife for Christmas, and we’ve honestly been astonished at how diverse the bars have been. These are bars we never would’ve sought out on our own, but they’ve opened our eyes to what’s available. There’s so much more than Hershey.

Atlas Coffee Club and Cocoa Runners are just two of a whole slew of companies offering unique subscription boxes that appeal to your taste buds. Use them as a launching point to explore the world.
