Kickstarter Alert: ‘Pepper & Carrot’ Boardgame Brings the Webcomic to Your Tabletop

Pepper & Carrot Game

Pepper & Carrot The Potion Contest is a tabletop game about a young witch named Pepper, her cat Carrot, and the potions competition they’ve entered. The rules are straightforward and allow for play by 1-4 people: that’s right, there’s a solo version of the game, too!

The gameplay is simple, but allows for a lot of complexity. Players have to acquire and shift their ingredient tiles around based on randomly-selected action sequences.

Or use a personal action to get the right ingredient in just the right place to finish the spell! When your witch has created all her spells, she wins!

It’s based on the webcomic by David Revoy, and both are unique because they are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, so they are free to use with attribution. Indeed, you don’t actually have to back the campaign to try the game out. Loyalist Games, who is behind The Witches Cauldron (and sponsored this post), is making a print-and-play version of the game free for download, so you can try the game out before you decide to back it. How cool is that?

You can get in on the full game for as low as $29, or check out the advanced options for nice extras!
