The Doubleclicks Celebrate “Wonder” Women

Last week, the Doubleclicks released a new video for “Wonder,” their Wonder Woman–themed song. The video features women celebrating their superpowers and it’s, well, wonderful:

The song pre-dates the new film, though at concerts the Doubleclicks often introduced it as the song they imagined would play over the closing credits someday when a Wonder Woman movie was finally made. (And then in the stinger, Samuel L. Jackson would show up and recruit Wonder Woman to the Marvel universe.) Well, it’s a shame Warner Bros. didn’t want to use their song after all, but I’m planning to sing it in my head when I take my daughter to see the movie today.

The Doubleclicks also announced their tour dates for their Kickstarter-funded album “Love Problems.” They’re kicking off the tour in their hometown of Portland, then heading to Gen Con in August as well. Can’t make it to one of their stops? There’s also an online show on June 16.
