Time to Sign Your Kids Up for Summer Online Camps in Minecraft and Scratch!

Our friends at Connected Camps are back again this year to offer your kids an amazing summer experience learning to design, build, and code in Minecraft like a pro! Summer can be a tough time for kids if there’s nothing goal-oriented to focus on, and if getting them somewhere for a camp experience (whether day or stay) isn’t possible, what can you do to keep them stimulated, learning, and having fun? How about a virtual camp?

At these online summer camps, kids have the opportunity to learn creative coding skills in Scratch. Or they might pick up some coding, game design, redstone, and survival skills in the camps run in Minecraft. There are even specific camps for girls-only, to create more comfortable spaces for learners.

As part of the camps, your kids can sign up for a free Kid’s Club account which gets them access to a safe, secure Minecraft server that’s always moderated.

Each camp runs for 2 hours a day, for 5 days, and are taught by Connected Camps’ expert mentors. There are camps available at all levels each week spanning the summer, starting June 26th (so get signed up early!). When they’re done with camp for the day, they still have access to work and play on the Kid’s Club server. And this year, Connected Camp is adding to the choices available with two new online camps, full of learning and fun:

This is exactly the kind of camp I would have loved as a kid!

And this month, there’s a special offer for GeekDad readers:
