With the success of Rogue One and the excitement of the upcoming Han Solo Trilogy, it looks like Star Wars is set to be around for another forty+ years. I’m a big fan of expanding the universe, but there are also characters we’ve already met I’d love to know more. So here are ten ideas for anthology films in the Star Wars universe.

KENOBI
The Pitch: Give Ewan McGregor a Star Wars Story!
The Idea: Obi-Wan spends nineteen years in exile on Tatooine. What does he do? Who does he talk to? Why does he have such strong opinions about Mos Eisley? Does he follow the Rise of Darth Vader (of course!)? Think of the shenanigans Ben Kenobi could get into on and even briefly off the planet!
Possible Appearances: Owen and Beru Lars, young Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Darth Vader, various Jedi or even Anakin and Padmé in flashback, FORCE GHOST QUI-GON JINN
Bottom Line: In terms of new films about characters we already know and love, this is one of the most popular ideas out there. It’s possible they’re holding back to hide upcoming reveals in the Skywalker Saga sequels — whether or not Kenobi is related in any way to the action, or characters, in the sequels, there is certainly a lot of speculation about it.

THE ORGANAS
The Pitch: Bail and Breha Organa raise Darth Vader’s daughter to be the best weapon against his Empire
The Idea: Part regency drama finally introducing us to Alderaan, part origin story of insurrection, part girl power epic about an iconic princess.
Possible Appearances: Mon Mothma, the Ghost crew, Darth Vader, the ghost of Padmé Amidala, Grand Moff Tarkin, Saw Gerrara and little Jyn Erso (!!)
Bottom Line: I’ve wanted this for years and I refuse to stop talking about it. If young Han Solo deserves three movies young Leia deserves ten at least one.

THE HANDMAIDENS OF NABOO
The Pitch: What if James Bond was a teen girl — in space?
The Idea: A group of tween-teen girls skilled in diplomacy, espionage, and combat, attend school, travel the galaxy, and rule a planet.
Possible Appearances: any of the established handmaidens, including Padmé, any of the established Queens, including Amidala, Palpatine, Gunguns
Bottom Line: I actually think this would work best as a television series and I would like to volunteer as showrunner.

AHSOKA
The Pitch: Fan favorite Ahsoka makes her leap to live-action.
The Idea: As with Kenobi, there are years Ahsoka is out in the wild that have only been touched on. And she’s more mobile than him so there are even wider possibilities.
Possible Appearances: Rex, Anakin/Vader, Obi-Wan, the Ghost crew, Lux Bonteri, Bail Organa (what if she met Leia?!?!) and more
Bottom Line: This is both one of the easier stories to drop many established characters into, and one of the easier stories to make up new characters for. Ahsoka is beloved, especially by young women who grew up with her, and is a perfect fit for modern Disney.

CASSIAN ANDOR
The Pitch: Let’s make Rogue One’s ending even sadder.
The Idea: Cassian has been fighting for the Rebellion since he was six years old. That’s hardcore! Telling his story would take us into the early days of the Empire and the Rebellion, and give us a more in-depth look at the rebel spy organization. Plus Cassian is one of those who used the alias ‘Fulcrum’ which could tie him into the Ahsoka movie!
Possible Appearances: K2SO, General Draven, anyone in the Alliance, Jabba the Hutt
Bottom Line: Who doesn’t want Diego Luna to be in another Star Wars movie?

VADER
The Pitch: Vader!
The Idea: Two minutes of lava castle, dad jokes, and dramatically murdering rebels convinced most of Rogue One’s audience they wanted two hours of the same.
Possible Appearances: Emperor Palpatine, Boba Fett, Grand Moff Tarkin, Director Krennic
Bottom Line: Depending on how the Skywalker Saga plays out this could be even more redundant than it already is, but I will never say no to more Anakin. My wildest idea is to include Vader in all of the above films, and then release a film that is just all his scenes put together in order.

HONDO OHNAKA AND AURRA SING
The Pitch: A space pirate action-rom-com.
The Idea: Aurra and Hondo are two of the most interesting ‘grey’ characters and they have an established romantic relationship! This could be set before, during, or after the Clone Wars or Rebels era, or even span them.
Possible Appearances: Basically anyone, but specifically Boba Fett, Cad Bane, or any of the other established bounty hunters.
Bottom Line: I would pitch an Aurra Sing story based solely on her blink and you’ll miss it appearance in The Phantom Menace, but Clone Wars put her in Hondo’s orbit and I definitely need that story to be told.

MACE WINDU
The Pitch: As Samuel L. Jackson explained at this year’s Star Wars Celebration “Jedis can fall from incredible heights and survive so… I am not dead. Mace Windu is awaiting this return.”
The Idea: Mace Windu is one of the most interesting characters introduced in the prequels and we know next to nothing about him. The possibilities are endless.
Possible Appearances: Yoda and various other Jedi, any of the Rebels era characters if they go with Jackson’s pitch
Bottom Line: They just announced a comic book, but why not a movie?

THE GUARDIANS
The Pitch: Clerics deserve a movie, too.
The Idea: Starting way back when and ending with pre-Rogue One Chirrut and Baze, this film would delve into the history and philosophy of the Whills/Jedi.
Possible Appearances: Chirrut and Baze, various prequel era Jedi, or even characters from Knights of the Old Republic
Bottom Line: If the Jedi are going to end, shouldn’t we get to learn where they came from?

THE AFTERLIFE
The Pitch:

The Idea:

Possible Appearances: Force Ghost Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Qui-Gon. Plus Windu, Ahsoka, Chirrut and Baze, any prequel Jedi, and there’s really no reason not to include Han Solo, Padmé Amidala, Bohdi Rook…
Bottom Line: Okay, it’s ridiculous, but I would definitely throw all my money at this.
