It’s hard to explain exactly just how much the crew at We Are Entertained were looking forward to the latest installment in the MASK Fast and Furious franchise, The Fate of the Furious. By that I mean, of course, that numbers that small are difficult to talk about without running into the realm of the quantum mechanical world. Were we surprised? Will you be surprised if we’re not?

This week Chris learned that YouTube isn’t simply a home for the world’s best cat videos, it’s also the home to some incredible documentary filmmaking! After getting lost down a Reddit hole, Chris wound up watching an hour-long documentary called Shenzhen: The Silicon Valley of Hardware on his mobile phone. This was a fantastic and engaging documentary and explored the role China is playing as the manufacturing hub of the world and the impact this has had on international copyright and intellectual property laws. The boys would really love to hear your thoughts on this issue!

Matt decided to mentally prepare himself for our feature this week and the upcoming onslaught of summer blockbusters by taking in one of the most poorly reviewed movies of the last year, Independence Day: Resurgence. Critics hated the film with an aggressive passion that made it difficult to even consider dedicating an evening to it, but our dear friend Matt, soldier of the cinema that he is, has never feared any film. Does it live up to the hateful hype? Did you see it or did the critics keep you away too?

Finally, we get to the movie of the week, The Fate of the Furious. Where do we even begin? Family, it’s all about family. We’re all family, even when we betray one another. I’m not sure what more needs to be said to get you ready for this movie than, “family.” I’ll say it again, because why not? “Family.” I should also add, “Cars.” Family and cars, that’s about it. Listen in and let us know if you agree. And when you’re done, check out these fun stats!

You can listen on iTunes, Google Play, iHeartRadio, and Stitcher; you can follow the RSS feed; you can download directly; or you can listen right here!

Tune in next week, we finally got a chance to see Colossal!
