The Kingston HyperX Fury Pro Gamer Mouse Pad

Kingston has created some great peripheral gaming gear, and the Kingston HyperX Fury Pro Mouse Pad is one not to be passed up. I did not know what to expect from the HyperX Fury mouse pad when it showed up at my door, but it blew my expectations of what a gaming surface could be.

As a life-long PC gamer dating back to the Apple II, I have had a love-hate relationship with input devices. Since the days of the original DOOM, having an accurate mouse moving at lightning speed has been a must in my arsenal. So any addition to my play has been well received.

Once I opened the package of the HyperX Fury Pro, the first thing that hit me was the size. I received the XL version, which comes in at 900mm wide and 400mm tall. This makes it far more that just a mouse pad and more of a gaming surface. It was able to handle my mouse, keyboard, and Nostromo gamepad without any issue.

On the road, it made a nice surface for my 17″ laptop and wireless mouse as well. At 4mm thick, it has a soft, durable, and comfortable surface. Speaking of the surface, the combination of fabric and rubber made my mouse glide in search for enemy combatants. I was able to test it out on the new Warhammer: 40k Dawn of War III where I needed dexterity in wrangling my troops for battle. It worked perfectly and exceeded my former Razer mouse pad in feel and execution.

For those who are not gamers, the usefulness of the HyperX Fury Pro comes from the added comfort you receive. If you have wrist or joint issues, it may help make your typing sessions more manageable. The look of the Kingston HyperX Fury Pro is as basic as it gets with a matte black cover and the HyperX logo being the only graphic. This is fine with me since I am looking for performance and not to be wowed with graphics or anime images on my mouse pad.

In total, I recommend the Kingston HyperX Fury Pro Gaming Mouse Pad to any serious or not-so-serious gamers and game enthusiasts looking to raise their games to the next level.

The price of the Kingston HyperX Fury Pro Gaming Mousepad range from $10.99 for the small to $33.99 for the XL, making them an affordable addition.
