HomeDadCon 2017

HomeDadCon, an annual convention presented by the National At-Home Dad Network, will be in Portland, Oregon, this September 14–17, and registration is open now. Although I’ve been a stay-at-home dad for just over 13 years now, I’ve never actually gotten to attend this convention, so I’m excited that it’s coming to my city this fall. And since I’m (sort of) involved in the PDX Dads Group, the local hosts this year, I’m sure I’ll be drafted to participate in some way—maybe hosting some tabletop games? (I expect Chris Routly, the current president of the NAHDN and another Portland local, won’t let me get away with just lurking.)

At any rate, if you’re a stay-at-home dad and you’d like to meet up with other dads like you for networking, support, and education, check out the website for more information! Early bird registration ($140) lasts until June 1, after which the cost goes up to $165. Scholarships are also available. I’m excited to attend this year, and hope to meet many of you there!
