On May 27th, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is set to open its newest land and experience: Pandora – The World of Avatar. In a new behind-the-scenes video, Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rhode describes the design philosophy of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and how Pandora – The World of Avatar so perfectly aligns with the park’s mission of conservation and exploration. Rhode explains how the Animal Kingdom park encourages developmental transformation through exploration and how each personal adventure leads to a personal call to action. These very ideas are also at the heart of the Avatar franchise, making the joining of the two a connection as harmonious and perfect as nature itself.
