LEGO ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ Is All Kinds of Awesome

Entertainment Videos

A while back, we shared an amazing Dinotrux stop-motion video put together by Kyle Roberts and his company Reckless Abndnmnt. Well, they’re back. And this time, they’ve set the bar to what might be an impossible height to beat.

Because this time, Kyle and Nathan Poppe are back not only with LEGO… not only with Batman… but with a full-on LEGO Batman re-creation of the opening sequence to the best animated series of all time. Yeah, that’s right. Behold, the stop-motion LEGO Batman: The Animated Series!

It took more than 1,000 photos, 40 hand-drawn backgrounds, and more than 300 hours of work to complete this impressively awesome video. And the music? Belgian composer Joris Hermy‘s sweeping soundtrack is faithful to Danny Elfman’s classic theme but still strikes its own tone. This tribute is a work of art and a fun, nostalgic trip for Batman fans of all sizes.

(It’s also just in time for the release of The LEGO Batman Movie!)
