Re-Roll: This Week’s Tabletop Game News

Re-Roll Tabletop Games

Re-RollHere are the latest announcements and stories that caught our eyes this week:

  • AEG announced a Destination Fun Pack, a single box featuring full-fledged expansions for each of its Planes, Trains, and Automobiles series. You’ll be able to find it on shelves in February.
  • There’s now a release date for IDW’s Escape from 100 Million BC. The cooperative game from Kevin Wilson (Descent, Arkham Horror) is for 1-6 players and you must reassemble a broken time machine while dealing with a hostile environment AND rounding up historical figures like Lincoln and Roosevelt, who’ve fallen through time with you–but be careful! The butterfly effect could change history forever. It hits stores on April 26.
  • AEG also has a new game out this month called Siege, a quick-playing strategic deduction game. Outwit your opponents and you may very well become king.
  • Over at Kotaku, Cecilia D’Anastasio has a piece on “Dungeons & Dragons‘ Gradual Shift Away from Monster Boobs.” It’s an interesting post and worth reading about the ongoing changes over at WotC.
  • Looking for a last-minute gift? Dixit Revelations, an expansion for the abstract storytelling game, and HMS Dolores, the pirate-themed prisoner’s dilemma game from Eric M. Lang and Bruno Faidutti, both become available next week.
  • Asmodee offers a close look at the Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective expansion Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures. It’ll be in stores Q1 of next year.
