The Legend of Korra typically needs no introduction, but in case you need a quick primer, the series is a sequel to the ever popular Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you want to catch up before diving into Korra, a Complete Series set for Avatar is also available (though only on DVD). The Legend of Korra consists of 52 episodes divided into four “books”–Air, Spirits, Change, and Balance. The series follows main character, Korra, who is the reincarnation of Ang from the original Avatar series. I don’t want to give much more away, but I will say that the voice cast, including special guests, is amazing on this show. The story and art are also terrific. So its no surprise that a lot of the same team went on to make my favorite series of this year, Voltron: Legendary Defender.
In addition to every episode, the set also includes over five hours of bonus features. It’s a lot of stuff spread over the whole series, so here’s the whole list:
Book 1: Air
Book 2: Spirits
Book 3: Change
Book 4: Balance
Obviously there is a lot of stuff here and I’ve barely scratched the surface, but if you’re a fan like our family is, the bonus content is well worth the price of admission.
And now for the part you’ve been waiting for–the giveaway! We’ve teamed up with Nickelodeon to offer not only a The Legend of Korra: The Complete Series Blu-ray set, but also a copy of The Legend of Korra: Air Art of the Animated Series book!
