The Legend of Korra: The Complete Collection is being released next week, along with a set of four amazing art books. Here’s your chance to win the Blu-ray set and the first book!
The Legend of Korra typically needs no introduction, but in case you need a quick primer, the series is a sequel to the ever popular Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you want to catch up before diving into Korra, a Complete Series set for Avatar is also available (though only on DVD). The Legend of Korra consists of 52 episodes divided into four “books”–Air, Spirits, Change, and Balance. The series follows main character, Korra, who is the reincarnation of Ang from the original Avatar series. I don’t want to give much more away, but I will say that the voice cast, including special guests, is amazing on this show. The story and art are also terrific. So its no surprise that a lot of the same team went on to make my favorite series of this year, Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Included in the boxset is an Exclusive Edition The Art of the Animated Series mini-book. The book has excerpts from the four full-sized art books published by Dark Horse comics. The books are divided into the same chapters as the cartoon series itself–Air, Spirits, Change, and Balance–which makes perfect sense since the books are about behind the scenes, character design, etc. through out the whole series.
