For any parent, teacher, or camp instructor looking to teach kids to code, you might want to check out a new 8-page PDF that DK has released that offers some great advice on helping young coders. Of course, I’m a bit biased — I wrote it. DK reached out to me a few months ago regarding the ‘learn to code’ summer camps I’ve been teaching for the last few summers and asked if I could assist with pulling together some help for coding instructors. I was happy to do it, and I’m quite pleased with the final design.

DK puts out some amazing workbooks (very inexpensive, too) that the kids in my camps absolutely LOVED. I was able to send each child home with their own copies of the workbooks, too… something they could show their parents and reference if they wished to continue in their studies.

In addition to the workbooks, DK also has some larger books that I provided as references to all the students during the camp. These books were always in demand, and I know I’ll need to order more for Summer 2017.

And speaking of workbooks and books…

dkcoding3DK has an amazing sweepstakes going on right now through December 13, 2016.

You can get all the details here, but in a nuthsell they’re giving away a complete coding library that consists of all their coding books and workbooks. Seven books in all ($85 value).

If you’d like to know more about these books and workbooks, you can read about my camp and the books here.
