This week’s first big Pokémon announcement comes in the form of a new trailer for Pokémon Generations. This all-new series of animated shorts launches this Friday, September 16 at 9:00 AM Pacific on the official Pokémon YouTube channel—with new episodes airing every week through December 23. Its 18 episodes will look back at each generation of the Pokémon video game series, spotlighting the stories of the games themselves and all the characters and Pokémon that played a part. From Kanto to Kalos, you can relive all your favorite regions 3 to 5 minutes at a time.
Nintendo has also announced yet another special edition New Nintendo 3DS XL. Arriving on October 28—a full three weeks before the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon—this limited-edition system sports a handsome black exterior emblazoned with the images of Alolan Legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala. Pre-orders are available now, so snatch yours up before they all end up in the hands of the dreaded eBay speculators!
