Longtime readers know that I love clothes and that I spend a lot of time (some would likely say entirely too much) pondering the simple joys of novelty socks. One of my favorite providers of quality socks and other underthings is Portland’s Sock It To Me, and it turns out that they just kicked off their annual Design-A-Sock Contest.
Now through September 30, Sock It To Me is inviting fans and artists from all around the world to submit a unique sock design for a chance to win up to $2,000 in cash–not to mention a big ol’ batch of other SITM products! The winning design will then be manufactured as part of Sock It to Me’s 2017 fashion collection.
This year’s contest includes a panel of celebrity judges to help pick the top entries, including actor Tyler Ritter (of CBS/Sony’s The McCarthys and brother of Dipper Pines), Atlanta Hawk Mike Scott, New York indiepop darlings MisterWives, feline phenom Lil BUB, and GeekDad favorites The Doubleclicks.
