Playmobil Playroom: Take Along School House

This month, we’re introducing a new feature that will focus on the world of Playmobil. The Playmobil Playroom will take a peek inside those impressive blue boxes and see what treasures await within. Maybe we’ll have step-by-step photos walking you through assembly (like this post where we showed you a super awesome castle), maybe we’ll just discuss and review a particular set or theme, or maybe we’ll have an unboxing video.

For our first installment—and perfectly timed for all those wee ones headed back to school—we’re taking a look at the Take Along School House (5662), which is part of the City Life theme. It comes with 68 pieces, though most of those pieces are incredibly small school supplies such as backpacks, pencils, and books.

The school itself is really just three pieces (the frame and two floor pieces), but the reason it’s called the “take along” school house is because it can close up, and you can carry it with you. Which makes it perfect for playdates and sleepovers. Open it up, and you’ve got an instant playset. No need to reassemble everything or worry about things falling apart.

Bonus: Playmobil pairs nicely with vintage Little People!
