If there was ever a tent to encourage me to camp more, it would be the new Cinch! tents. Their original models were launched via Kickstarter in 2014, but now they are upping the ante and improving on them. Their newest Kickstarter launched yesterday morning, and these new models are spectacular. They’ve already funded, and now is your chance to reserve one for yourself.

What makes Cinch! tents special? They go up in a cinch. They practically assemble themselves with their built-in stiff frames. The Kickstarter page includes a GIF showing just how easy it is to set up. They are almost as easy to take down, with a little bit of folding and twisting. The tents also have a large front and back door for easy access and to help air out the tent. Additionally, these tents have almost as many optional features as my Honda Element. They offer a heat-regulating black out canopy to keep the inside of your tent cool, a solar charger to keep your gadgets powered up, and extended canopy to add to the living space, plus items like reflective guy wires, LED tent stakes, and LED lanterns.

The new tents come in 2-, 3-, and 4-person sizes, each one light enough to carry on your back. The larger ones are taller in the middle than the smaller sizes, though even the 4-person tent isn’t quite tall enough for most adults to stand in.

Though these tents aren’t impulse buys, they are still good prices for what you get, and will be attractive to regular campers. The standard price for the 4-person tent is about $300, unless you were lucky enough to get the early bird price. Back the Kickstarter and you get the heat-regulating black out canopy for free.
