We believe that few things are as enjoyable as sitting around the living room floor, playing a game with your family. Each week, in the ‘Game of the Week’ column, GeekDad will suggest a fun, family-friendly game everyone can enjoy while spending time together. Here’s this week’s pick:
Boomtown Bandits from Squirmy Beast brings wild west thievery to the kitchen table. Players choose which of the up to six locations they wish to vandalize and utilize simultaneous dice rolling for combat. The last thief standing takes a loot card, which may help with combat the next round or add to your loot stash.
While the box suggests ages 13 and up, we left out the Brothel location – to avoid awkward conversations – and had a blast with an 8 year old.
If you like Wild West themed games and frenzied dice rolling, this game is a definite favorite for buckaroos of all ages!
