Sometimes something big can start in the most unexpected of ways. Half asleep from working late the night before, Monty Oum came in and said to his Rooster Teeth Studios team mate Kerry Shawcross, “Red, White, Black, Yellow.”
“Yes Monty,” replied Kerry, “those are four colors.”
“No, that’s a team,” said Monty. “They are four girls.” The next day he explained his idea for an animated show featuring teams of four students studying to be hunters and huntresses on the world of Remnant. It was the birth of RWBY.
