RiffTrax MST3K reunion event

If you’re a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K), then you’re undoubtedly a fan of RiffTrax, the real-time, bad movie-riffing live comedy show from three MST3K alumns: Bill Corbett, Kevin Murphy, and Michael J. Nelson. Fans of the sharp-witted RiffTrax trio now have something else to look forward to besides witty one-liners: even more witty one-liners, but from the rest of the cast of MST3k. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of RiffTrax and the 20th RiffTrax Live event, the regular crew will be joined by some familiar faces from the Satellite of Love for the RiffTrax Live: MST3K Reunion Show on June 28 & July 12, 2016. Theaters have been announced and tickets are now available for the live event and future encore presentation.

In addition to Corbett, Murphy, and Nelson, the stage will be full of hilarious past and future MST3K comedians including:

  • Joel Hodgson (MST3K creator and “Joel Robinson”)
  • Trace Beaulieu (“Dr. Clayton Forrester,” “Crow T. Robot”)
  • Frank Conniff (“TV’s Frank”)
  • Mary Jo Pehl (“Pearl Forrester”)
  • Bridget Nelson (“Nuveena,” “Mr. B Natural”)
  • Jonah Ray (New host of the revived MST3K and most notably of Nerdist Podcast fame)

The highly anticipated reunion show will feature the standard warm-up by riffing on hilariously outdated educational short films and other comic interludes before concluding with what is billed as a “SUPER RIFF-A-PALOOZA!” Michael J. Nelson of RiffTrax said, “It’s a dream come true to get us all together again performing on the same stage. With all these great people, and the crazy shorts we’ve picked out, it is going to be an amazing evening.” With a new iteration of Mystery Science Theater 3000 currently in production, this reunion show will undoubtedly serve as a great way to introduce a new generation to the original masters of the cinematic takedown. Purchase your tickets at Fathom Events and don’t miss out on this historic reunion!
