The New York Puzzle Company just started shipping a new line of jigsaw puzzles featuring the original artwork by Mary GrandPré of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter book series.
We are big Harry Potter fans in our house, and we also love puzzles. When I heard there was going to be a line of puzzles featuring GrandPré’s art, we jumped at the chance to get our hands on one of these early. We were lucky enough to receive the 500-piece Diagon Alley puzzle. The art features Harry and Hagrid along with plenty of Diagon Alley mainstays.
The puzzles also come in 1000-, 750-, and 350-piece puzzles and even 100-piece mini puzzles, so there is something for all skill levels. They are all printed, cut, and boxed in the United States. Both the puzzles and boxes are made from 100% recycled chipboard, the printing is done with soy inks, and even the bag the pieces come in is made of biodegradable plastic. Lastly, New York Puzzle Company is also a member of 1% for the Planet. This means that 1% of all sales are donated to environmental non-profits. These puzzles are almost green enough to eat!
Unfortunately, we were out of town and just got back from vacation so we haven’t had a chance to assemble the puzzle yet, but we’ll be making a spot on the table after dinner to start it together as a family. This will be my son’s first adult puzzle, and what a perfect way to start.
