C Is for Cthulhu Coloring Book

Do you hear that, kids? It’s the call of Cthulhu… and he wants you to get out your crayons.

Two years ago, Jason Ciaramella and Greg Murphy successfully funded the C is for Cthulhu board book, an adorable alphabet book filled with Lovecraftian horrors. Last year, they brought their cute version of Cthulhu to life–well, at least in plush form.

Now, Ciaramella and Murphy are back, with a coloring book! The book includes all of the A to Z illustrations from the board book, now rendered in ready-to-color line art, plus a few activities like a word search, maze, and additional drawings to color. I’ve gotten a sneak peek at the coloring book and it’s adorable. I love the artwork–a perfect mix of cute and creepy.

You can download a couple of sample pages here and here, or sign up here to get a 5-page sampler in your inbox.

Cthulhu plush and poster

There are various reward levels, including a PDF-only version, a physical copy of the coloring book, the original board book, plush Cthulhu, and the C is for Cthulhu movie poster. If you decide to back the project, be sure to enter this contest for a box of 96 crayons, too.

My nine-year-old loves everything Cthulhu-related, so she’ll be particularly delighted by this coloring book, and it’s never too early to start sharing the Lovecraft with my toddler.
