Confession: I am not much into anime. I know, I’m a boring person. But for the otaku in the room, you’ll want to check out Anime Fan Fest. Running this May 6-8 at the Garden State Exhibit Center, Okatu Magazine USA and MAD Entertainment (the guys behind Long Beach Comic Con and NJ Comics Expo) are planning on bringing a heck of an event.
There will be a ton of voiceover guests from well-known anime such as Pokemon, Full Metal Alchemist, and Dragonball Z. A wide selection of panels are planned on the industry itself, gaming, and cosplay. Speaking of cosplay, don’t miss the masquerade–with cosplay contest! Gaming tournaments will be going on all weekend, and you, the lyrically inclined, will be happy to see the musical guests and join in on the lip sync battles. Plus, there’s the all-ages dance party.
That all-ages thing is a big deal. Anyone who has been to MAD events before can attest to the family-friendly environment. This event is expected to be more of the same.
