The Worldbuilders Party at Emerald City Comic Con is your chance to play games and hobnob with some of the greats of fantasy and science fiction while also supporting a great cause. Worldbuilders was formed by author Patrick Rothfuss to help fund Heifer International. With the hope of ending hunger and poverty, Heifer aims to help people around the world by empowering them to become self-sufficient.
The goal of every Heifer project is to help families achieve self-reliance. We do this by providing them the tools they need to sustain themselves, and it’s thanks to the generosity of donors like you. – Heifer
You don’t even need to be attending Emerald City Comic Con to attend the event. You just need to be in the Seattle area on April 9th! At the Worldbuilders Party you’ll get to enjoy a night of celebration and gaming with fantasy and science fiction authors, game designers, and performers, get a swag bag with the latest novels from Del Rey and DAW books, have a chance to win great door prizes, and nom on free appetizers. Drinks will be available for purchase, and additional funds will be raised for Heifer through a silent auction.
The guest of honor list is pretty amazing, and the opportunity to spend an evening over free food and games with the people on this list is too good to pass up. As icing on the cake, the funds from the event are supporting others on their path to becoming self sufficient.
The event is on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM (PDT), at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. As of Sunday March, 27th, only 12 tickets remain, so you better get on it!
