Last Week’s Result
(Technically, two week’s ago result, since life got in the way of posting last week. Sorry about that.)
Our reader’s favorite Pixar Oscar winner was The Incredibles, taking 37% of the votes. Wall-E had a strong second at 22%, with Up, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out all bunched up at 11 and 12%. Toy Story 3 was a close sixth with 8%, and Ratatouille behind it at 6%. Not surprisingly, Brave came in last with only 3%.
Towel Day is celebrated every year on 25 May as a tribute to the author Douglas Adams by his fans
I rather like Hobbit Day on Sep. 22nd. A celebration of Bilbo and Frodo’s birthdays (and all things Tolkien) celebrated with banquets and books and maybe some films as well.
Funny thing, I have a character I write who’s a huge, wonderful geek (he is also himself a superhero), and I made his birthday May 25, years before it had any other significance attached to it. It’s so fitting and I kind of love it.
