GeekDad is teaming up with Image Comics to give one lucky winner tickets for two to the Image EXPO and Spring Formal.
The Image EXPO and Spring Formal is being held in conjunction with Emerald City Comic Con this year, but is a separately ticketed event that takes place Wednesday, April 6th (the day before ECCC starts).
The Image EXPO is from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and the Spring Formal is from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. Both will take place at The Showbox in downtown Seattle. The EXPO will feature a ton of Image’s creators (like Jonathan Hickman, Ed Brubaker, Babs Tarr, and Rick Remender just to name a few) and showcase announcements about upcoming comics. There will even be some surprise guests. There will not be any vendors like a typical con as this event is just for press, retailers, and fans to interact with Image comic book creators–a true comic convention!
The Spring Formal is exactly what it sounds like–an after-hours dance, mingle, and drink party where guests can hang out with their favorite comic creators while listening to the beats of Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie. There will even be a crowning ceremony focusing on a special thank you to The Valkyries and will also highlight the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and all the good they do in the industry.
