There are countless enhancements for iTunes: controls, visualizations, schedulers, mixers, and more. But I’ve just come across one of the best I’ve used in a while. Serato Pyro is a free iOS music player that integrates with your iTunes library or with Spotify Premium.
Serato have been creating professional DJ software for almost two decades and they’ve adapted their algorithms to make Pyro a powerful tool. By building your own playlists (or allowing the app to suggest songs or using playlists put together by DJ Jazzy Jeff, Aoki, The Roots, or Diplo), Pyro analyzes the tracks and blends songs together so smoothly, so seamlessly, you might think you were in an nightclub in Ibiza. Granted, the result is not always 100% perfect; some songs mix together more perfectly than others, but most of the time the effect is really incredible and I feel like the app actually enhances the listening experience
Deleting and rearranging track lists is a breeze and you can even save playlists so you can enjoy a great list over and over. In the week that I’ve been using Pyro, I find that I enjoy it much more than just using iTunes. It’s easy to use and the mixed effects are extraordinarily enjoyable.
