In case you somehow managed to miss the buzz yesterday, this morning at 10:00 AM Eastern (7:00 AM Pacific) we will be treated to a special Pokémon-centric Nintendo Direct. This Pokémon Direct is being touted as “a special video presentation with big Pokémon news!”
And what’s that big news? Internet scuttlebutt seems convinced it will be related to Pokémon Moon and Pokémon Sun, a pair of trademarks/logos allegedly registered by Nintendo of Europe that are widely assumed to be the next games in the core franchise. Of course, as Tiny Cartridge and Pokémon super-site Serebii were quick to point out, we’ve been misled by placeholder titles before.

UPDATE: Pokémon Moon and Sun confirmed for holiday 2016. Also, the eShop versions of Blue, Red, and Yellow (which will be available tomorrow) will include Pokémon Bank support!
