Egg-ceptional News! Study Shows No Link Between Egg Consumption and Heart Attack Risk

According to a recent, five year study–with twenty-one years of follow-up research–by the University of Eastern Finland and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, eating a diet heavy in dietary cholesterol, such as one consisting of an egg a day, has shown no correlation to an increased risk of coronary heart disease, even among those with a genetic disposition that impacts cholesterol metabolism.

No need to feel guilty about that morning egg. In fact, eggs continue to remain a relatively inexpensive, low calorie source of protein. As for how to prepare your one-egg-a-day breakfast, please allow my nine-year-old daughter to demonstrate, in a video assignment submitted for a fourth-grade class project earlier this year.

Bon appetit!
