Do your kids love Minecraft? Would you be happy to know there’s a FREE online club for kids aged 9-14 who love Minecraft where they can play on secure, moderated servers, interact with kids just like them from all over the world, and even learn how to do the kinds of scripting and coding that can get them a step up in the high-tech world?

Our good friends and sponsors at Connected Camps have asked us to tell you about their newly-revamped Free Minecraft Kids Club. Joining the club (a parent must register the kid online, and a credit card number is taken only for verification of the adult’s age) is like getting access to a special clubhouse where there’s something going on every day after school, and on weekends. Counselors lead kids through daily events, like Build Challenges, Survival Events, and Collaborative Builds where they’ll work in teams.

Here are some examples of upcoming, again FREE, events:

1/27, 4pm PT – Pixel Art
Starts:January 27, 2016 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Description: Come make your favorite characters or logos in pixel art or hangout and look at everyone else’s!

1/28, 5pm PT – Royal Rumble
Starts: January 28, 2016 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Description: Who will come out victorious in this epic free-for-all?

1/29, 4pm PT – Return of Speed Build Emerald League
Starts: January 29, 2016 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Description: The Speed builds are back! Come join us for these building competitions!

What’s really important, at least for the parents’ peace of mind, is that the game servers are secure and moderated. There is a Code of Conduct by which all members must abide, and which includes processes for resolving any conflicts to help all the kids have a safe, fun, and productive experience.

If this sounds like the perfect thing for your young Minecraft genius, take a look at the Free Minecraft Kids Club Here, and get them registered.
