The Safety 1st Ultrasonic Humidifer is a great, affordable way to help your kids breath better when the air is hot and dry inside.
Because we live in an area that gets pretty cold during the winter (it’s snowing as I write this) we have the heat going all hours for months at a time. That dry heat wreaks havoc on sinuses and throats, especially while you’re sleeping. It can be especially hard on little ones.
Enter the Safety 1st Ultrasonic Humidifier–a cool mist humidifier that features dual mist outlets for better coverage, fine control over mist output, an auto shut-off, and whisper quiet functioning.
The basic components of the humidifier are pretty standard nowadays–a tank with a screw-on valve and a base with a control knob. The dual control outlets and the range of control on mist output are what really set this unit apart from others we’ve tried. It also runs much, much quieter than units we’ve used before.
My son just got over a bad cold and still has a little bit of a cough that wakes him up several times a night. I knew from my own past experience that putting a humidifier in his room would help, so had no hesitation about setting this up in there. Sure enough, the first night after putting it in his room, he only woke up coughing a tiny amount compared to his usual. I really can’t recommend cool mist humidifiers enough, even when you aren’t sick. Keeping all those passages and membranes moist helps prevent sickness, sore throats, and dry mouths.

How easy was it to refill?
In my years, I have been through many humidifiers and my single complaint among ALL brands/models is that they design NEVER takes into account the fill/refill process.
I fail to understand why they do not create a flat top that makes it easy to fill on the counter.
