In “Reaping the Rewards,” we take a look at a crowdfunded project in its final form. Today’s project is Evolutionary Tales, a beautifully illustrated book for kids about evolution.
I originally wrote about the Evolutionary Tales Kickstarter a few months ago, and Matt Cubberly’s book quickly met and surpassed its goal by a ton! The need and desire for great books about evolution for parents and kids is clear.
Evolutionary Tales is now available on Amazon, and the final book is everything I’d hoped for when I saw the sample pages back in July. The book is a beautiful, matte finished, large-sized (9 inches by 8 inches) book, that really gives the artwork the space it deserves. May Villani’s paintings almost look like photos!
Each of the ten animals is given a full-page story of its evolved special traits. They are rhyming and full of great info for inquiring young minds.
I highly recommend Evolutionary Tales to all parents who want to ensure their children have a strong understanding of the science of evolution. It’s a perfect complement to Grandmother Fish (which you already have or ordered, right?)
