Sound Gifts for the Audiophile

See what I did there? If you have an audiophile on your holiday shopping list, like I do, then here are a few products that I have tried myself over the past few months. I have also included comments from my family, who have also tried these.

Jaybird X2 Bluetooth Ear Buds

The Jaybird X2s pump out the perfect blend of clean bass and clear highs, all without having to deal with a cord from your media player. These ear buds come with innovative ear fins in various sizes that users can mix and match to provide secure, comfortable listening for long periods of time, even while engaging in rigorous athletic activity–and they are sweat proof. My wife currently wears these a work day at a time with no aches in the ear lobe and plenty of battery life. Check them out here, on Amazon.

HP Roar Plus Bluetooth Speaker

With JBL and Beats flooding the market, I normally don’t think of HP when it comes to portable sound either. However, since I got the HP Roar Plus, I now do. I use the  Roar around the house for days on end and this thing keeps going. Like most phone speakers, it can be used as a speakerphone, but I do find that the Bluetooth range is very limited. Cool feature–you can wireless connect two of these to create left and right stereo sound. Check them out here, at HP.

Fluance SXBP High Definition Bipolar Surround Sound Speakers

So far, I have only ever had sound bars or home theater in a box solutions (or nothing) for my home television audio. Since I am starting over in a new life, I decided to design a custom setup with speakers and a receiver. I have a lower end Onkyo receiver with a subwoofer and I paired it with a pair of Fluance SXBP HD Speakers. The bipolar design aims more speakers in different directions and it makes a huge difference! In fact, all I need is what I have–no center or rear channels. Sound bounces all over the room and movies come to life. Find out more about them here, at Fluance.

Razer Kraken Pro Headset

It is no secret that I love Razer products. So naturally, I must praise my Kraken Pro Headset. The sound is tremendous and, best of all, it works. It works every time, no need to jiggle any cords or check, plug, and unplug. Also, now that the Xbox One controllers have had a makeover, I can use my Kraken Headset with it also! One headset, many uses. If you have a gamer on your list, you cannot go wrong with a Razer Kraken Pro Headset, and they come in a ton of colors. Check them out here, at Razer.
