Polaroid Snap

Attention, Polaroid fans: the latest instant-print camera, the Snap, is available for pre-order today exclusively from Photojojo. It’s a hybrid camera that prints your images onto Zink paper (2″ x 3″ with a sticker back) but also saves to a MicroSD card. So you can get the best of both worlds: the immediate gratification of a physical print combined with the convenience of a digital copy that can be shared and manipulated later.

The camera has several other features, like the ability to print with or without the traditional white border, sepia and black-and-white filters, and a photobooth mode. And there’s an automatic flash, timer mode for selfies, and a little pop-up viewfinder. All of the photos are saved to the memory card, and if you don’t have any Zink paper you can still take 10-megapixel pictures, though the camera doesn’t have a screen so you’ll have to wait until later to view them.

The Snap camera is priced at $99, with Zink paper at $9.99 for a pack of 20. (As with most Polaroids, the fun of the instant print comes with a price tag.) You can pre-order now, and the launch will be later this month.
