Insight Editions has just released their latest book, Assassin’s Creed: The Complete Visual History. This book, full of beautiful artwork and behind-the-scenes details of the inception of the series and making of each of the games, is a must-have for any AC fan.
Timed to coincide with today’s launch of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (my review of which will be coming in the near future), Assassin’s Creed: The Complete Visual History is both epic and beautiful. It’s a large book (12 x 9.5 inches and 320 pages) that covers everything from the origins of Assassin’s Creed from Prince of Persia through every game in the franchise.
The book also includes in-depth character studies from every game and era, including some really beautiful concept and final art. There are tons of details about each character that were new to me.
The art alone is worth the price of entry for this book. There are so many beautiful spreads like this one that, without even reading the text, a reader could spend hours lost in the magnificent vistas and character shots.
Insight Editions has also put together a great trailer for the book.
If you are a fan of game history (there is eight years of Assassin’s Creed history here), you will probably really enjoy Assassin’s Creed: The Complete Visual History. If you are an Assassin’s Creed fan, then this book is a must-have for your shelf or coffee table.
