Nerdy With Children has been making awesome geek clothing for the whole family for a while now. I even used one of their shirts for my son’s cosplay! Nerdy With Children just launched a Kickstarter for a whole new line of shirts aimed at inspiring kids with real life heroes like Nikola Tesla and Ada Lovelace.

Nerdy With Children wants to add a line of designs, with sizes from onesie to adult, that will inspire kids (and adults) with real life heroes. The initial six designs will feature Nikola Tesla, Ada Lovelace, Marie Curie, Galileo Galilei, Jules Verne, and George Washington Carver along with an inspirational quote from each. This is such a great cross-section of visionaries and heroes. And who doesn’t love things that glow in the dark?
As much as we all love our fictional heroes that inspire us, there are plenty of great real-life STEM heroes that we can use to inspire our kids. And what better way to do that than with gender neutral, glow-in-the-dark shirts! I am planning on getting at least a Tesla shirt for myself and my son and an Ada Lovelace onesie for our new daughter (when she arrives.)
