This week, we chat with Sascha Paladino, creator and executive producer of Miles From Tomorrowland, currently in its first season on Disney Junior.

If you haven’t been watching this show, you’re missing out. It might be aimed at the preschool set, but the show does an admirable job teaching science to kids much older than that. And it’s really entertaining! Plus, they’ve got an absolutely killer supporting cast, including Mark Hamill, George Takei, Bill Nye, and Wil Wheaton!

Miles and the rest of the Callistos recently visited the red planet, so we chat with Sascha about scientific accuracy on the show, premiering the Mars episode at NASA for real-life rocket scientists, and shouldering the responsibility of presenting a vision of the future (and all of the associated gadgets) to the next generation.

Finally, we talk about how Miles From Tomorrowland is true to the spirit of Walt Disney’s Tomorrowland and how it presents a hopeful and optimistic view of the future, and Sascha also hints at a possible crossover of some kind yet to come on the show.
