The planets have aligned. The portents or unmistakable. The fates have spoken, and their words ring true: at long last we get a proper Gravity Falls video game!
This November, Gravity Falls–complete with its famed Mystery Shack–arrives on the Nintendo 3DS in Gravity Falls: Legend of the Gnome Gemulets. Great news, right? But it gets better. This joint effort from Ubisoft and Disney Interactive was created in collaboration with the show’s creator and executive producer, Alex Hirsch, and thus promises to be an authentic journey into the strange and wonderful world of your favorite supernaturally-plagued Oregon mountain town.
Players get to control Mystery Twins Dipper (wielding his trusty flashlight and mighty Gnome Battle Cuffs) and Mabel (whose grappling hook is ably supplemented by the Fleece of Bedazzlement, which turns her sweater sleeves into deadly weapons), switching between the two on the fly to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and unlock the secrets of the town’s past. The ability to marry a woodpecker has yet to be announced, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Will it support 2-player? And can I have kitten fists? …
No mention of multiplayer in my one-sheet, Jayson, but hope springs eternal. Same things goes for the kitten fists. 😉
