LEGO Ideas ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Set Design Revealed

The design for the set of the LEGO Ideas The Big Bang Theory release, which was announced last year, has been revealed. It’s pretty amazing how many details they’ve managed to get into a fairly small set, based on Leonard and Sheldon’s living room.

I love, for instance, that there’s a Green Lantern lantern on the shelf, and that the whiteboard on the easel has the Pictionary drawing Sheldon did for “Higgs boson particle.” There are a lot more fun details (Howard and Raj are holding Chinese food containers, for example), but I’ll let you discover them for yourselves.

According to the official press release, the set, which is expected to be released sometime this summer, “…was created by two LEGO fan designers – Alatariel from Sweden and Glen Bricker from the USA.” It will include seven minifigures – one for each of the show’s main characters, Leonard, Penny, Sheldon, Amy, Howard, Bernadette, and Raj.

The next two LEGO Ideas sets scheduled for release after The Big Bang Theory‘s are ones based on WALL·E and Doctor Who. I may need to add an extra room to my house just for LEGO sets soon.

  1. I do so very much hope they gave the Sheldon Mini-Fig a unique “butt” connection that makes it so he is the only one capable of attaching to “his spot”
