Tired of nothing but pink and princess themed clothing for your daughter? Svaha, founded by Jaya Iyer, launched on Kickstarter today to bring a line of STEM-themed girls’ clothing.

New to Kickstarter? Check out our crowdfunding primer.svaha-kidsIyer’s daughter has dreams of being an astronaut one day, and when Iyer couldn’t find any space themed shirts for her daughter, she decided to do something about it. Iyer teamed up with two other mom’s who are also apparel professionals to launch a line of clothing that is STEM themed.

Though the majority of the shirts will be a girl’s cut t-shirt ranging from size 2-12, some styles will be available in newborn to 18 months. Some of the rewards will also include the designs in adult and boy’s sizes. The shirts come in many colors, including, but not limited to, pink. svaha-shirtsSo what do STEM themed shirts look like? Designs include a stegosaurus with polka-doted back plates, a girl firefighter, an astronaut planting a flag on the moon, and more! My favorite is the robot playing soccer, but I can’t get enough robots. You can see all of the designs on their Kickstarter page.

If you’re tired of the standard gender-specific clothing available today, check out these great designs and help Svaha bring more of their designs and clothing options to life.

Note: I received several prototypes for review purposes.
