With the Star Wars movies now in digital HD, are you making this a Star Wars weekend?
Thanks to Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and Disney, I’m using the Google Play app on my phone to take The Empire Strikes Back with me everywhere I go. Over the years I’ve seen this film on everything from a filmstrip to VHS tape to laserdisc, but it’s just as stunning to watch it in the palm of my hand.
If you’re looking to do more than just watch the films this weekend, here are a few suggestions from the official Star Wars web site and beyond for more activities to make this (or any time) a complete Star Wars weekend for you and your family:
- Play Star Wars bingo, make a Padawan tunic, and more.
- Gaze at this homage to vintage action figures.
- Pick up the new comic book series from Marvel.
- Bake some adorable Princess Leia cupcakes with a recipe by JustJenn.
- Work on some crafts as a family like these lightsaber magnets and Death Star painting.
