‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff – West Coast Avengers?

Geek Culture Television

AofS-mockingbirdAccording to Deadline Hollywood, Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood will be headlining the new Agents of SH.I.E.L.D. spinoff. Agents of SH.I.E.L.D. has been a great addition to the MCU on the small screen, and adding more shows to the small screen is a great way to keep expanding the MCU

AoS-WCAWhen I heard that Mockingbird would be joining the cast of Agents of SH.I.E.L.D. I could barely contain my excitement. We have Ultron, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and the Vision joining Hawkeye in Age of Ultron. We have Hank Pym and Ant-Man on their way. I am dreaming that this spinoff show will be the beginning of what will become West Coast Avengers, or Avengers West Coast!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, West Coast Avengers was the first superhero comic I started collecting and I will always love that team. OK, so maybe it isn’t realistic to believe they’ll make an Avengers TV show, but I am hopeful that Hawkeye will at least show up. With Lady Sif and Nick Fury both making appearances on Agents of SH.I.E.L.D., I don’t think a Hawkeye-Mockingbird-Hunter love triangle/throw-down is that out of the picture. Who knows, maybe they’ll even lay some ground work for the Skrull invasion.

Either way, I can’t wait to see the new show and more of Mockingbird. I’ve always loved the character, and I think Adrianne Palicki is doing a great job of portraying her on the screen.

  1. We can only hope that they expand…and hope they can keep the quality going since the “reboot” from a season or two after they dropped off. I still know people that won’t come back to AoS because of that horrible season. Skrulls would be a great story line to boot on with!

    1. It seems that after the current slate of movies on the timeline, Secret Invasion would be a good one to tap. It has a lot of cross show and multiple movie potential. I do hope they can keep building on the momentum they have been gaining with the show and build a good solid base of shows that are different enough to bring in and keep viewers.

  2. They cant use Skrulls. Fox owns them because theyre part of the Fantastic Four universe
