There are a lot of fans of the Expanse series of books, all about life in a well-populated solar system and a murder mystery leading to BIG EVENTS, around here at GeekDad (not the least, me). So, when I heard that SyFy was turning it into a series as part of their new push back towards doing, you know, science fiction, I was cautiously optimistic. Well, the first trailer is out, and while I can see some of the limitations of TV production on the show, it does seem to be getting some of the hard, technical issues of living in space right. My excitement has been upgraded.
