If you’re thinking of picking up a Wii U or 3DS for the kids (or for yourself) this holiday season, then Nintendo seems more than happy to help you get the biggest bang for your buck. The house that Mario built has just launched their Holiday Gift Guide, a special site that collects everything a parent or other gift-giver needs to know about their current hardware and software lineup — including a rundown of upcoming Black Friday deals at major retailers like Best Buy, Target and Toys ‘R’ Us.

There’s also a handy wish list feature that can be shared via Facebook or emailed directly to the interested parties.

For those looking to save a little scratch on digital releases, Nintendo has even compiled a list of eShop Cyber Deals on a handful of new, new-ish and classic releases. Most of these sales, both physical and virtual, kick off at 9 PM Pacific tonight, so you should have ample research time between your second helping of turkey and the arrival of Black Friday-proper.

Unsurprisingly, Super Smash Bros. Wii U has proven its mettle by becoming the fastest selling Wii U title to date. And, as I said in my earlier coverage of the game, it’s definitely one to pick up if you’re a holiday Wii U adopter. Similarly, the latest entries in the Pokémon franchise, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, are sure to please new 3DS/3DS XL/2DS owners, and, with the new Shiny Mega Metagross internet distribution, those games are already serving up supplementary content to keep the Pokémaniacs occupied over what might well shape up to be a cold, cruel winter.
