Phineas and Ferb Sets Premiere Date for Lindelof-Written Lost-Themed Episode

PHINEAS, FERB

I haven’t seen the upcoming episode of Phineas and Ferb based on the hit TV series Lost and written by its co-creator Damon Lindelof, so I can’t tell you how good it’s going to be. But at least, given that it involves Phineas, Ferb, Perry, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, etc., I think I’m safe in saying it’s at least going to be much, much better than the last new Lost content that aired on TV. (If you’re among the relatively few who actually liked the series finale, I don’t know what to tell you, because I can’t grasp that point of view.)

At 7:30pm ET/PT on Monday, September 29, 2014, “Lost in Danville” will premiere on Disney XD. In addition to being written by Lindelof, the episode will feature guest stars Terry O’Quinn (who played John Locke on Lost) as well as Jane Kaczmarek (best known for Malcolm in the Middle) and Rob Morrow (best known for Northern Exposure and Numb3rs). The plot of the episode is officially described as follows:

A mysterious locked capsule falls into Phineas and Ferb’s back yard and they struggle to open it, only to discover they have unleashed something they cannot control. Meanwhile, Perry learns that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has been abducted and tracks him to Seattle where another evil scientist, Professor Mystery, has his own sinister plan.

Evidently O’Quinn will voice Professor Mystery, while Kaczmarek and Morrow will voice the capsule’s “inhabitants.”
