Early word, Andy, is that the New 3DS (though apparently not the New 3DS XL) will support swappable top and bottom covers as a way to offer physical customization that compliments the new Home menu themes.
I like that. Sounds like Nintendo never gave up on the personalized unit thing, even after the failure of the Game Boy micro.
