I’m not attending PAX this year, Gen Con ate up all of my con budget. But every time I’ve been to PAX, I’ve made it a point to attend the live Acquisitions Incorporated event where Jerry Holkins, Mike Krahulik, Scott Kurtz, and a rotating fourth play Dungeons & Dragons. This time, the game will feature the return of company intern, Morgan Webb, and Dungeon Master extraordinaire, Chris Perkins.
For those unfamiliar with the long running podcast and PAX staple, Acquisitions Inc. is a game of Dungeons and Dragons featuring the Penny Arcade and PvP cartoonists, along with a celebrity guest like Webb, Wil Wheaton, or Pat Rothfuss. The emphasis is on being funny and the audience at PAX spends much of the two hours laughing out loud. Be warned though, the podcast and the live stream frequently include adult language.
